Yorktown Folk Festival to be held Saturday, Sunday

The Yorktown Folk Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday along the waterfront in Yorktown. It is free and open to the public.

The County Market will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, and there will be an all-day Yorktown Art Stroll from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Entertainment will include performances of “truly American music” on five stages by local bands, musicians, storytellers, and dancers. There will be food trucks, vendors, craft demonstrations, and artists.

Featured performers will be the York River Symphony Orchestra, Mosquito Cabaret, Tin Can Fish Band, Scotch and Rye, and Poisoned Dwarf. Also performing will be such favorites as Ralph Motley and the Last Minute Band, York-town Fife and Drum, Rose & Sword Irish Dance, Bob Zentz, Shanty Grass, and the Kountry Kickers.
