The York River Circle of The King’s Daughters and Sons met on May 6 at Susannah Wesley United Methodist Church in Gloucester. Members collected 25 grocery bags of snacks for the Boys and Girls Club of Gloucester. Shown, above, with the snacks are, from left, Jean Wilkinson, Caroline Bunting, Shirley Hudgins, Beverly McCampbell, and Margie Borden. The guest speaker for the meeting was Sally Hartley, shown at center, in photo below, with club member Hudgins, left, and vice president Sandra Harvey. Hartley spoke about her job as Gloucester High School’s transition teacher, responsible for connecting students to jobs in the area.
