Honestly Yoga, a yoga studio, opened its doors Nov. 1 at 6618 Main Street in Gloucester.

Angie McKinster of Gwynn’s Island has always dreamed of opening her own yoga studio, especially after losing her yoga community when she moved to the area in January of this year. She decided to create her own yoga community despite being questioned about her efforts.

“I was more afraid of the feeling I would get not trying than the feeling I would have if I failed,” McKinster said.

She decided to name her studio “Honestly Yoga” because authenticity is important to her. McKinster does not want her students to feel intimidated, self-conscious or judged while practicing yoga. Her goal is to have everyone come to her class and “feel the benefits of yoga” in a safe and authentic space. 

All classes at Honestly Yoga are for everyone including children and the elderly and can accommodate all levels of students from beginner to advanced. McKinster offers...
