The rain held off long enough Saturday morning for the Mathews Family YMCA to hold its Market Days Race. The race offered three options: 10K, 5K+ and 1 Mile Fun Run. All proceeds ensure the Y remains open to all, regardless of financial ability, a release stated.
The overall male and female winners were Henry Ciszewski and Ingrid Fincher (5K+) and Doug Marshall and Jessica Rhodes (10K).
Winners by age category in the 5K+ race were:
Under 18—Aiden Sowers (first place) and Wiley Mulholland (second place); 20-29—Megan Hamilton (first place) and Jessica Wilson (second place); 30-39—Trey Sowers (first place); 40-49—Amy Bohannon-Stewart (first place) and David James (second place); 50-59—SueEllen Hooper (first place); 60-69—Charles Crook (first place) and Jeffrey Bohn (second place): 70-79—Clarence Hargus (first place) and, 80+—Libby Crawford (first place).
