120 YEARS AGO Thursday, July 19, 1906from the Mathews Journal The Mobjack Bay Yacht Club will hold its first annual regatta on August 1 on North River. There will be three races: one will be for power boats and the other two for sail boats. The start will be from Auburn Wharf. A very sweet and happy marriage took place at the home of Mrs. W.B. Dixon at Redart on June 28, 1906, at 9 o’clock; when Miss Mattie Dixon became the dear and devoted wife of Mr. James M. Ogden. The bride was beautifully dressed in pearl gray silk and carried bride’s roses. After the marriage a few of her friends met her at the home of the bride’s parents. Among those who were present were, Mr. and Mrs. James Hudgins and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. L.D. Marchant and family, Mrs. W.N. Trader and daughter, Mrs. A.C. Wolffe and family, Mr. and Mrs. E.W.
