Writers win Golden Nib contest

Chesapeake Bay Writers president Carol J. Bova recently announced the chapter-level winners of the Virginia Writers Club Golden Nib contest.

The first-place winners were: fiction—Ronald G. Munro of Williamsburg, nonfiction—Terry Cox-Joseph of Newport News, and poetry—Andrew Ball of King George.

All three winners will go on to compete at the state level, said Bova, and the state winners will be announced at the annual meeting in November.

Judges in the contest were: Sarah Collins Honenberger, fiction; James A. Bacon, nonfiction; and Edward W. Lull, poetry.
