Chesapeake Bay Writers will continue its Open Mic series at 1 p.m. Sunday at Mathews Memorial Library. The opportunity to read and listen to original prose or poetry is offered on the second Sunday of each month.

Coffee, tea and light refreshments will be served. These events are free and open to the public. Those interested in reading should come to the library at 1 p.m. Sunday and sign up to be included on the program. Readers will be limited to prose up to 2,500 words; five poems of no more than 50 lines each, or five haiku.
