Members of the Abingdon Ruritan Club took part in an event on Dec. 18 honoring those who have served our country. The annual wreath-laying ceremony for National Wreaths Across America Day was held at the Hampton National Ceremony. Wreaths were placed on the headstones of the veterans as a way to remember and honor them. Hampton is one of more than 2,700 Wreaths Across America locations across the country when the service was held.
