To mark Memorial Day, members of the Cricket Hill Mathews Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution placed wreaths at two locations in Mathews. DAR members laid wreaths on the DAR monument at the historic courthouse and at Courthouse Square on the monument to honor the men of Mathews who gave their lives in wars during the 20th century.
