Work on the 2022-2023 budget for Mathews County Public Schools continues later this month with a public hearing to be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 25.

The school board began its work on the budget with an initial work session on Dec. 14. A second work session will be held before the board’s Jan. 18 regular monthly meeting at 4 p.m. A third budget work session is scheduled to be held following the Jan. 25 public hearing.

Adoption of the budget is anticipated for the February regular monthly meeting. All meetings will be held in the Mathews High School media center.
