I am retired as a salesman for The American Tobacco Co. (Lucky Strike) and for many years during the 1970s and ’80s my territory included Gloucester and Mathews counties, and I met many great folks that live there.

I serviced many retail outlets such as North Star Market and Best Value Supermarket. Back then there was an A&P in Mathews and an A&P and Safeway in Gloucester. I met some of the most friendly and nice folks in the counties and therefore continue to subscribe to your Gazette-Journal, which I enjoy each week.
