Wonder at Ware to honor Black History Month Feb. 12

In honor of Black History Month, Gloucester’s Ware Episcopal Church will feature a gospel ensemble group for its February Wonder at Ware concert next Saturday, Feb. 12, beginning at 7 o’clock in-person at the Historic Ware Church, as well as online.

The George Robinson & Friends Gospel Ensemble includes a quartet of singers and a pianist. According to Ware Rector Scott Parnell, the church was “intentional to pick a gospel group in recognition of Black History Month.”

Those who attend the concert in-person are asked wear masks. The concert is free and open to the public, with a free-will offering accepted.

Ware Episcopal has also planned a concert for April, featuring a performance from the Michael McNeill and Friends Jazz Combo. The concert will take place on Saturday, April 30, in honor of International Jazz Day.
