Wonder at Ware to hold first in-person concert Saturday

Ware Episcopal Church will host its first in-person “Wonder at Ware” concert since the pandemic began this Saturday at 7 p.m.

Tredegar Brass Band will perform this free, hour-long concert for the community outdoors on the south side of the Historic Church at Ware Episcopal. Those attending will need to bring lawn chairs for this event.

The concert will feature mid-nineteenth century music on period brass instruments. The band is comprised of two cornets, a tuba, euphonium and drums. The set list includes “Hail Columbia,” “Murdoch’s Quickstep,” “St. Patrick’s Day Quickstep” and “Kathleen Mavourneen.” The program will also include narration about the pieces and instruments.

Following the concert, there will be a short reception outdoors. Children and adults are invited to join the band members after the concert for lemonade and cookies on the lawn.
