A 35-year-old Gloucester woman was found guilty of five counts of soliciting murder for hire in Gloucester Circuit Court last Thursday. Becky Lee West pleaded not guilty to the charges, but was found guilty by Judge John C. Morrison Jr. of Norfolk.

Gloucester Sheriff’s Office investigator Scott Little said West targeted persons expected to testify in her brother, Joseph Lee Belvin’s May 2011 trial on five felony charges related to a home invasion in December 2010. They included the victims, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Jamerson, their son Dennis Jamerson Jr., Sandra Elias, who allegedly drove Belvin to the crime location and Belvin’s former girlfriend, Kelly Fuqua.

Fuqua testified it was in her apartment that West asked acquaintance Tracy Simmons to kill the Jamersons, and said she would get a gun. Simmons was in jail on multiple grand larceny charges last fall when he told former GSO investigator Kimberly Taylor about the solicitation.
