120 YEARS AGOThursday, April 5, 1906from the Mathews Journal The advertising columns of The Journal will announce the formation of the new firm of Wolffe & Nelson, composed of Mr. Wyatt Wolffe and Mr. Howard Nelson, and the retirement from business of Mr. A.C. Wolffe. We welcome the energy, the industry and ability of these young gentlemen in the mercantile life of our thriving little town, and we extend to their retiring predecessor our best wishes for a long life and a still useful career. Mr. A.C. Wolffe has for over thirteen years been identified with the business world of Mathews Court House, where his courtesy, business tact and knowledge had won for him a goodly share of the patronage of the county, which his fair dealing and satisfactory goods have easily retained.
