The West Mathews Community League has elected officers for 2022 as follows:Al DeWitt, president; Gary Edmondson, vice president; David Machen, treasurer; Maureen Frank, alternate treasurer; Lisa Deaton and Sue Freeman, secretaries; Page Herbert and Johnston Kemp, at-large.
The league met Wednesday, Nov. 17 at the civic center in Bohannon. Jennifer Schroe-der presented a program on the Bay School activities.
The West Mathews Community League owns and maintains the former Peninsula School in Bohannon, which serves as the league building. The school opened in 1913 and operated until the late 1940s. Presently the league is replacing windows as funds allow.
