With summer weather come farmers planting crops

In news around Laban, we are glad to see such lovely weather now and the farmers are very busy planting their crops.

Mr. Roger Hudgins is now at home spending some time with his people.

We are glad to report Mr. Carlton Hudgins is convalescent now.

We are sorry however to report Mr. Walter Callis being very ill.

Mrs. Eddie Miles and Mr. Herbert Miles, who have been visiting relatives at this place, have returned to their home at Hicks Wharf.

Miss Sadie Richardson spent a portion of her time last week with her aunt.

The Winter Harbor School closed May 19. Those receiving prizes for best spelling were: Ladye Brownley, Melba Hudgins, Kathlene Williams, Josephine Hudgins and Alese Hudgins.
