Farren Winter of Gloucester was one of three Shenandoah University field hockey players to earn All-State honors. Winter was also named the state Rookie of the Year.

The selections were announced last week by the Virginia State Sports Information Directors Association.

Winter was also the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year and earned All-ODAC second team honors from her spot as a midfielder for the Hornets.
