Winston Johnson Jr. of Mathews, departed this life on Saturday, September 3, 2016.
He was born to the late Winston Sr. and Jean Cook Johnson on October 17, 1959 in Gloucester, Va.
Winston was self-employed as a professional photographer and owner of Johnson’s Photography. He was briefly employed at SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment in Williamsburg and Walmart in Gloucester, where he was
recognized as Front-End Associate of the Month in 2016.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeremiah Darnell Harris.
Cherishing his loving memories will be his sister, Lesper (the Rev. Calvin)Johnson Curry; nephews, Winston Alexander (Heather) Curry, and Ashton Dubois
Curry; great-nephew, Harrison Alexander Curry and many other relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 8, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Mathews. Funeral services will be held on Friday,
September 9 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church Mathews.
In lieu of flowers,the family requests that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
Knight Funeral Home, Mathews, is in charge of arrangements.
