Awards were presented Friday at the opening of Arts on Main’s 2022 Annual Juried Arts Show, now on display at the gallery on Main Street, Gloucester.

Judge Matt Lively selected 35 pieces of artwork to compete in show out of 150 pieces that were submitted, said a press release. During the awards ceremony, he spoke about his selection process and presented awards to the top three contenders.

Mel Neale took first place with his work “Mirror, Mirror on the Window.” Placing second was Peg Poole with “Theo and Me,” with third place going to Theresa Wells Stifel and her “One with the Sea.”
