Wing walker to address aviation group

Wing walker Chuck Tippett will talk about his work as a key performer in the Flying Circus Airshow in Bealeton, Virginia, at the next meeting of the Northern Neck-Middle Peninsula chapter of the Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society.

The monthly luncheon meeting begins at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Pilot House Restaurant in Topping.Tippett is one of only 11 wing walkers in the world. He will discuss his love affair with aviation, how he taught himself to fly, and later learned the art of wing walking, despite not being a “thrill seeker.”

The chapter continues to meet on the third Thursday of each month at 11:30 a.m. for lunch and a presentation of informative aviation programs. Everyone interested in aviation is invited to join the members at the restaurant, which is adjacent to Hummel Airport on Route 3.
