WINDELL RAY ‘BUDDY’ COOK

Windell Ray “Buddy” Cook, 73, of Hayes, died Jan. 29, 2018, surrounded by family.

He was born Jan. 26, 1945, to Windell and Mable Stafford Cook. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Buddy was a master electrician and retired from Honeywell. He also worked for Carquest in Hayes. His greatest pleasure other than his family was riding his Indian motorcycle. He was loved by all and will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Karen Ann Cook, and brother, Keith Cook. 

He is survived by the love of his life, Audrey Parker; children, Khristy Cook (Paul), Johnie Cook (Michele), Scott Cook (Janie), Travis Smith (Holly) and Bobbie Parker; sisters, Carol Hall (Bill) and Wanda Oliver (Bill); brother, Robert Daughery (Barbara), sister-in-law, Joann Cook; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and his baby girl, Goofy. 

A funeral service conducted by the Rev. Bill West will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, Virginia. The family received friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at the funeral home.
