Willie Wyatt Brown of Hayes, a lifelong waterman of the Chesapeake Bay and surrounding waters, died peacefully at his home Friday, March 16, 2018, at age 76.

Willie was a member of Union Baptist Church. He loved country music, the Yankees baseball team.  Daughter, Valerie Brown; parents, Odell and Annie Elizabeth Brown, and sisters, Virginia Brown and Mary Lee Horsley, preceded him in death.  

Survivors include wife, Sheryl Brown; daughter, Crystal Brown (Lester Jenkins); son, James Brown, (Pam); sisters, Ellie Mae Holloway (Bob), Joyce Nelson (Jerry); brothers, Odell Brown Jr., Lank Brown (Ruby), Paul Brown (Kay); grandchildren, Stacy, Angel, William and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Jameson and Ethan.

A funeral service, conducted by Pastor Richard Whiteheart, was held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 19, 2018, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment followed in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7-8:30 p.m.
