William Thomas Robins III of Wilmington, N.C., age 85, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021. He was a member of the first class to graduate from Gloucester High School. He was a civil engineer and worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for over 30 years. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Wilmington where a memorial service was held on Nov. 5, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Hall Robins; his parents, William T. Robins Jr. and Helen Robins. He is survived by his wife, Linda Robins; his children, Natalie Robins, John (Susan) Robins, Daniel (Tracy) Robins and Margaret Burke; brother, Ira Cooper Robins (Georgia); nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Katherine Hall (age 104), and sister-in-law, Forrest Woodward.
