William Marvin Osborne Sr., 64, of Hayes, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, at his home.

He was a native of Norton, Va., and was the son of the late Albert and Geneva Collins Osborne. He was retired from Rappahannock Concrete, a member of Yorktown Baptist Church, and was a member of the Mathews D&D Hunt Club.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Georgie, Frank, Jessee, Paul, Mary Greene, Charles, Beulah, and Adam, and two grandchildren, Douglas Dean Melberg and Caitlin Hogge. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Patsy Pierce Osborne; his children, Rose Green, Violet Smith, Renee Haley, William Marvin Osborne Jr., Lisa Michele McFarland, Amy Rivera, and April Dawn Hogge; his siblings, Edith McCoy, Ann Hall, and Martin Osborne; 22 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, and his special companion, his dog Camo.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, from 1-2 p.m., with funeral services starting at 2 o’clock. Burial was in Windsor Gardens Cemetery.

Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, Gloucester, was in charge of arrangements.
