William Joe Jenkins’s spirit left his earthly home at Hayes on March 12, 2026, age 68.

He retired as a boat captain from Yorktown Launch Service after 30 years, and was a member of Union Baptist Church.

His parents, Joseph and Dorothy Jenkins, and his brother, David W. Jenkins, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his son, Joey; daughter, Tiffany; sister, Judy Bonniville (Rudy); nieces, Regina and Myra, and his faithful companion, Melody.

He was much loved and will be sorely missed.
