William J. Stukes passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025. He was 73 years old. He was a beloved son of the late Frank and Irene Mabry. Also, being adopted as a small child, he loved and longed for his birth mother all his life. May she be blessed. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a lover of music and as a young adult worked as a radio host and DJ with the trade name, “Mysterious Traveller.” Indeed, he loved to travel and did so all his life. He was also a lifelong student and loved to learn, whether by reading, travel or conversation.

His memory lives on and is cherished by his four children, Durand Jackson, William Jackson, Keisha Stukes, Damien Stukes; four grandchildren; a brother, William Stukes; a sister, Kathy Norman and many extended family and friends. In his last years, he resided at the Three Rivers Health and Rehab Center, West Point, Va., which he came to know as home. The family offers them thanks and gratitude for their love and care.
