William Glenn Ray Jr., 74, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018.

He was a native of Gwynn’s Island, in Mathews County, and a resident of Dade City, Florida, since 2004.

He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He worked as a waterman and a truck driver.

He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Anne Ray, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Glenn Ray Sr., and a sister, Kathleen Ray.

He is survived by two brothers, James Ray (Mary) and Ronald Ray (Linda); companion, Juanita Lewis; two nieces and a nephew.

The family received friends on Sunday, June 24, 2018, from 6:30-8 p.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews. A funeral service was held on Monday, June 25, 2018, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed at Gwynn’s Island Cemetery.
