WILLIAM G. MINOR

William G. Minor, 90, of Gloucester, died on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022, at Sanders Nursing Home.

He was the son of the late Granville F. and Winnie L. Minor. Born in Portsmouth on March 18, 1932, and a resident of Gloucester since 1956, he also lived in Haddon Heights, New Jersey; Oakland, California; and Arlington, Virginia. He was a graduate of Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, and attended Fork Union Military Academy and the University of Maryland. From 1953-1955 he served in the U.S. Army, part of the time in Germany. He owned and operated Bill’s Cabinet Shop in Gloucester for over 20 years before retiring due to a back injury. He was a member of Abingdon Episcopal Church, White Marsh.

There are no immediate survivors.

A graveside service conducted by the Rev. Sven L. vanBaars will be held in Abingdon Episcopal Church Cemetery at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3.
