WILLIAM DANIEL SOMMERVILLE

William Daniel Sommerville, 58, of Gloucester, born April 12, 1956, died Aug. 15, 2014 of a heart attack.

He was owner and operator of MAC (Mid Atlantic Construction).

As a young man Bill was always intrigued with taking mechanical things apart and putting them back together again, one of which was his own unique bicycle. He played football all during high school and graduated from Tabb High School. Bill loved the outdoors, and never missed an opportunity to throw out a fishing line. He enjoyed music and played with a group that called themselves “The Frog Farm.”  Bill was a great brother, uncle and friend. We will miss him. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lilliana Sommerville, and father, Daniel Sommerville Jr. 

He is survived by his sisters, Lillian Sommerville Elias King and husband Michael, and Jeanette Sommerville French and husband Calvin;  nieces, Cameron Stacie French and Heather Elias (Darrell West); nephews, Corey French and Richard Elias  and wife Mandy; great-niece, Kayley Elias and great-nephews, Gavin, Thorin and Rylan Elias.

A Celebration of Life service conducted by Minister Robbie Brunjes was held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. The family received friends prior to the service on Monday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Inurnment will be private.
