William C. Brabrand, age 74, a native of Gloucester, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016, 

He retired from Newport News Shipbuilding/AMSEC after 48 years.  

He is survived by one brother, Thomas E. Brabrand of Virginia Beach; two sons, David Brabrand and his wife Carolyn; William M. Brabrand and his wife Janine; two daughters Diane Brabrand and Allison Brabrand; one stepson Frederick T. Brabrand, and six grandchildren.

The family received visitors Thursday, July 28, from 5-7 p.m. at the Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Boulevard, Newport News, Va.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Peninsula Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
