WILLIAM BRYANT WILSON

William Bryant Wilson, 85, of King William, Va., passed away on March 11, 2024.

Mr. Wilson was a 1958 graduate of Middlesex High School. Bryant joined the King William Ruritan Club in 1986. He held many positions: President, Vice President, Chesapeake District Zone Governor and Lt. Governor.

Bryant enjoyed many hobbies, woodworking being his favorite. He loved sharing his talent with his friends, family and community. He was also an avid golfer and enjoyed his tee times with his friends. He was a football fan and enjoyed watching and supporting the King William Cavalier sporting events.

He is survived by his sisters, Martha Dunlevy and Lena Wilson; stepdaughters, Karen Raikes (Rickie) and Vickie Parks. He is also survived by his three step-granddaughters.

Bryant is preceded in death by his wife, Hazel; parents; Wilbur and Clara Wilson; two sisters, Nellie Ward and Olivia Gilbert.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2024, at New Hope United Methodist Church. Interment followed at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the King William Volunteer Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 139, Aylett, Va. 23009, and New Hope United Methodist Church, c/o Lena Wilson, 2560 Mattaponi Avenue, West Point, Va. 23181.

Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda assisted the family.
