Holly Sowinski has always wanted to open a bookstore and when the right opportunity came along close to home, she decided to give it a go. The grand opening for Wild Daisy Books, located at 2800 King William Avenue in West Point, is scheduled for Jan. 10 at 10 a.m. The bookstore and gift shop has a wide range of used and new books with complimentary coffee and hot chocolate available for customers as they browse. There’s also a whole room dedicated to a children’s area. “It’s mainly used,” said Sowinski about her inventory. “It’s a mixture of new and used, but the majority is used.
