WILBUR E. TEMPLEMAN

Wilbur E. Templeman, 89, of Hayes, went to be with the Lord June 10, 2014.

He was a member of Providence Baptist Church where he was a deacon. Wilbur served with honor during World War II in the U.S. Navy. 

Wilbur was a barber at Bena for 63 years and all of his customers were his friends. He lived each day as a quiet witness for the Lord.

His wife, Florence Templeman, preceded him in death in 2005.

Wilbur is survived by his two loving and devoted children, Linda Templeman and Jim Templeman. He is also survived by numerous cousins and a special cousin, Shirley Brown.

A funeral service conducted by the Rev. Dr. Richard Croxton and the Rev. David Pouchot was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Providence Baptist Church. Interment with military honors followed in Gloucester Point Cemetery. The family received friends Friday, June 13, 2014, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
