Wilbert Nichols, age 82, of Ark, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016.

Son of the late Clara March and Leroy Nichols, Wilbert was born in Chicago, Illinois.

Wilbert is survived by his spouse, Christine Lee Nichols; four children, Gwendolyn Langston, Crystal Nichols, Myan Nichols-Morgan, and Rodney Nichols; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A homegoing service, officiated by Pastor Ju Joyner, will be held at Smithfield Baptist Church, Gloucester, on Saturday, Dec. 10, at 1 p.m. A viewing will be held from noon-1 p.m. at the church.

J. K. Redmond Funeral Home, Shacklefords, is in charge of the arrangements. 

Interment with military rites will be held at Quantico Marine Corps Cemetery, Quantico, Virginia.
