White Marsh restaurant seeks to add microbrewery

The Gloucester County Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing about allowing a microbrewery at a White Marsh restaurant during a meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the colonial courthouse.

Mac Casale has applied for a special exception to allow a microbrewery in a proposed addition to Goodfellas Restaurant on Route 17. Casale is agent for tenant Constantine Tsamouras and property owner Konstantinos H. Panos.

Casale is requesting adding on to the existing Goodfellas a 30’x30’ microbrewery on the existing concrete slab footprint.

“Since the property is already used as a restaurant, we anticipate no additional impact on site,” the application stated. “Plus the addition does not face the street so there will be no glare issue either.”

Also, the microbrewery will result in new jobs, Casale said in the application.
