Wetlands board to hold public hearing

The Gloucester County Wetlands Board will hold one public hearing on a shoreline improvement application at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, at the colonial courthouse.

Ray and Frances Rilee have applied for installation of a 110-foot by 12-foot rock sill, said Linda Walthall, permit technician for the Environmental Division of the Gloucester Codes Compliance Office.

In addition, the Rilees have applied for 450 cubic yards of beach nourishment, Walthall said, as well as associated Spartina plantings.

The project is situated on the York River shoreline at 5626 Riverview Park Road.

Walter I. Priest III, chairman of the board, said interested persons are invited to attend the meeting and speak during the hearing if they wish.

The application may be reviewed at the Codes Compliance Office, located at Gloucester County Office Building #3 on Main Street.
