Wetlands board to hold hearings on shoreline improvement applications

The Gloucester County Wetlands Board will hold public hearings on four shoreline improvement applications during a meeting beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, in the colonial courthouse.

Timberneck, LLC has applied to install 12-inch pipes for two dry hydrants that will be trenched from the hydrant location to the shoreline extending approximately 71 feet channelward of mean low water, said Linda Walthall, permit technician in the Environmental Division of the Gloucester Codes Compliance Office. That project is situated along Timberneck Creek, off Timberneck Farm Road.

Barbour and Blair Farinholt have requested permission to install 125 linear feet of low-profile breakwater with 700 cubic yards of beach nourishment with Spartina patens plantings. The project is situated along the Ware River, off Baiae Lane.
