Wetlands board to consider four shoreline improvement applications

The Gloucester County Wetlands Board will hold public hearings on four shoreline improvement applications beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the colonial courthouse.

Mr. and Mrs. David H. Driver seek permission to install two headland breakwaters (60 feet and 80 feet) adjacent to their property situated along the York River at 5632 Riverview Park Road. Linda Walthall, permit technician in the Environmental Division of the Gloucester Codes Compliance Office, said that the Drivers also request permission to place 750 cubic yards of sand nourishment with Spartina plantings at the property.

On a separate application, Mr. and Mrs. Todd W. Geisert have asked to remove an existing timber bulkhead and construct 255 linear feet of riprap revetment landward of mean low water adjacent to their property situated along the Ware River at 8163 Baileys Wharf Road.
