Wetlands board approves two applications

The Gloucester County Wetlands Board approved two shoreline improvement applications during its Dec. 10 meeting.

The board approved the application of James W. Brooks Jr. to construct 145 linear feet of stone sill, a 25-linear-foot stone sill, and 200 cubic yards of sand nourishment with spartina plantings adjacent to property situated along the North River at 8879 Waverley Lane, secretary Linda Walthall said.

Following a separate hearing, the board approved the application of Brays Point, LLC, to construct 200 linear feet of rock revetment adjacent to property situated along the Severn River at 3991 J Leonards Place, a staff report said.

Meanwhile, the board did not consider a third application scheduled for hearing that night because it was ruled to be incomplete. That application will be heard at hearing on Jan. 14.
