Wetlands board approves shoreline improvement application

The Gloucester County Wetlands Board approved one shoreline improvement application during a meeting June 12 in the colonial courthouse.

Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Kilgour Sr. were granted authorization to remove 82 linear feet of bulkhead and replace with 82 linear feet of riprap, said Linda Walthall, permit technician for the Gloucester Code Compliance Office Environmental Programs.

The Kilgours also were allowed to install two retaining walls at the upper portion of the project outside of the board’s jurisdiction. The project is situated along the Piankatank River at 8147 Riverview Drive.

Walthall said the commission also decided to continue deliberations at its July meeting—at the request of the agent and contractor for the project—on a shoreline improvement application for Millard I. Binswanger Jr.
