Wetlands board approves riprap on North River

The Gloucester County Wetlands Board approved the lone application before it during a meeting held Sept. 14 in the colonial courthouse.

John Hogg was granted authorization to construct 200 linear feet of riprap marsh toe revetment adjacent to property situated along the North River at 9091 Midlothian Lane.

Following its meeting, the board sat as the Gloucester County Chesapeake Bay Preservation & Erosion Commission. The commission decided to continue the two applications until its Oct. 12 meeting at the request of both applicants.

Frank C. Haywood seeks a buffer modification to the required 100-foot Resource Protection Area for an office building on the corner of George Washington Memorial Highway and Croswell Lane.

The other application which was continued was for Charles and Gay King, who want to construct a single-family dwelling, detached boathouse, gravel driveway, pool and pool house at 8679 Ware View Lane.
