Wetlands board approves four shoreline projects

The Gloucester County Wetlands Board unanimously approved four projects during its Dec. 9 meeting, following public hearings on each.

The first project was from J. Randolph Lawson of Southeast View Landing requested authorization to install 94 linear feet of breakwater and 45 linear feet of rock groin. The site will be accessed by land, and no clearing or grading is required.

Daniel Parr of York River Drive requested to install 60 foot timber groin, 45 foot rock revetment, 45 foot rock groin, and 1,250 cubic yards of sand nourishment.

Shelly Point, LLC, sought authorization to install a 125-foot, class-one, rock revetment in place of a failing timber bulkhead and class-one stone over core and filter fabric. The project will take place on Old Shipyard Lane.

Barry and Pamela Ivey of Oyster Cove Road requested to install 120 feet of rock revetment and class-one over core and filter fabric.
