Wetlands board approves application

The Gloucester County Wetlands Board approved the lone application before it, following a public hearing Feb. 10 in the colonial courthouse.

Roger and Ellen East were given permission to install a marsh toe revetment and a riprap sill with sand nourishment and wetlands plantings adjacent to property situated along Briggs Cove/York River at 3780 Briggs Cove Road.

Member Bill Minnick made the motion to approve the application with condition that a no-mow zone be established and agreed upon by the homeowner and environmental staff.
