Breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day by many nutrition experts. Among English speakers “breakfast” refers to the meal taken after rising from a night’s sleep. The word literally means breaking the fasting period of the prior night.

The Disciples Men’s group of Westville Christian Church in Mathews honored its ladies on Valentine’s Day by presenting breakfast to the fullest. On the second Saturday of each month these gentlemen get together for breakfast. It’s just this one Saturday that they invite the ladies.

From the elegant decorations to the table settings to the preparation of the food, to the serving and, yes, the cleaning-up afterwards, they did it all—with one exception. The fresh flower arrangements presented to the ladies were made by Flowers from the Heart.
