The Town of West Point held its first National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 1, at West Point Town Park. According to Tim Sawyer, Police Chief of the West Point Police Department, the event was a big success thanks to the hard work of Officer Lisa Danuser (photo above) and all those who assisted her and supported the event. “It was great to see our community out having a fun time and meeting our local law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel,” Sawyer said. “We’re looking forward to future events and to continuing to give back to the community we serve.” Among those taking part was Kordelia Coyne, 12, of Gloucester, (photo below) who set up a lemonade stand. Kordelia’s Lemonade Stand donates all of its proceeds to first responders.
