The Rotary Club of West Point put up a Flags for Heroes display earlier this summer, and plans to stage the display again leading up to Veterans Day on Nov. 11, according to its website.

Mathews Rotary also sponsors Flags for Heroes. In each case, flags are sponsored by community members and businesses and a mass display is erected at a prominent location: in Mathews, on Main Street; in West Point, at 13th and Main streets.
