The West Point Chamber of Commerce will host the 44th annual Crab Carnival on Friday and Saturday in the downtown waterfront of the Town of West Point. One of Virginia’s most popular and longest-running fall festivals, the West Point Crab Carnival welcomes over 15,000 visitors from all over the East Coast to enjoy live music, beverages, shopping, fireworks, parade, and of course, crabs. The event will be open to the public from 5-10 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. The Tour de Crab bike race will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, with carnival games and rides (at the parking lot between 7th and 8th streets) from 6-9 p.m. Friday and all day Saturday. A fireworks show will be held at 8:30 p.m. Friday. The parade will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Crab Carnival will include live music, craft and food vendors, and much more.
