Abingdon Elementary School teacher Owen Wenner has published his first book, “Artistoria,” the first in a trilogy that Wenner has been writing for several years. The book is aimed toward the young adult audience.

“Artistoria” is a book about revenge, said Wenner, who wrote the book to be different from those he read when he was in high school. He said that other books he read would always play down the parts that piqued his interest the most. His goal became to write a book that he would want to read.

The book revolves around a young man with certain abilities. Wenner said that the world of Artistoria is one of fantasy, where different people harness the power of different colored energies to give them abilities.
