Wenner named Gloucester’s Emergency Management Coordinator

Jane Wenner has been officially appointed Gloucester County’s new Emergency Management Coordinator. Wenner has been with the department since 2005 and has served as coordinator in an acting capacity since last summer.

As Acting Coordinator, Wenner implemented new technology to help the county and its residents deal with storm or other emergencies, including as a new alert system called Bee Alert that is set to launch in the coming weeks. She also improved public education and looks to grow and improve the department, a county release stated.

Prior to becoming Acting Coordinator, Wenner served several different roles in emergency management, including Planner/Trainer, Public Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator, Assistant Emergency Services Coordinator and Coordinator of the Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT.
